Carnelian Bay Half | Lake Tahoe Marathon

If you do not have a support crew to take you to the stat line or bring you back on Friday or Saturday, you should register for the round trip charter bus to the start line and from the finish line back to the Beach Retreat & Lodge. Pre and Post race buses on Friday and Saturday are $30. Sunday has included shuttles to the start lines.

Bus returns at Noon. Reserve ticket on line or bring cash to the finish line. If you finish after 12PM noon you will need your own transportation back.

TART has public buses that go back to Carnelian Bay at 7 minutes past the hour. You could actually park your car at the finish and take the bus back to the start at 7:07AM.

Carnelian Bay Half Marathon

Saturday @ 8:15 am to Noon

This boutique half marathon course starts from Carnelian Bay and ends at Meadow Drive & H89. Finish line is south of Homewood on the closed section of H89. Traffic is detoured onto McKinney Rd. so we have a lakefront finish line. Enjoy a chilling dip in the lake, a beer and a hotdog after you finish. The finish area is south of Homewood. Your race starts when the Cal Neva Marathoners pass through Carnelian Bay at 8:15 am. This race is limited to 100 a la carte runners and 200 runners doing the Trifecta (3 Half Marathons in 3-days) You may run this race a la carte or as part of the Tahoe Trifecta and has a 3-hour time limit.

This race is run on the shoulder of the road facing traffic or on the adjacent bike paths. In some spots the shoulder is very narrow.

You must follow the Rules of the Road as we run on the shoulder or bike path for this race staying always on the left side facing traffic when not on the bike path.

The race starts from the Waterman's Landing parking lot and beach.

If you do not ride the bus from So Lake Tahoe, park across the street from Waterman's Landing in public free street parking. You can pick up your race number at the startline in Waterman's Landing. Do not try to park at Waterman's Landing which is our start area.

The first man and women will receive an overall award.
