COVID-19 Pandemic Update and Policy:

The Superhero Heart Run continues to monitor the ongoing Coronavirus/COVID-19 situation to make the best decision for the health and safety of our participants, staff and volunteers.  If the scheduled event is unable to take place due to the health crisis or any other situation out of our control, all run registrations will be converted to a “Virtual Ticket” and run swag (cape, medal and bag) will be mailed to each registrant so you can Save the Day for CHD as a Hero at Home!  Please visit our FAQs page for our full refund policy.

Inclement Weather Plan:

The safety of our participants, volunteers, and spectators is our primary concern.  We strive to hold each event as planned, but sometimes weather circumstances outside of our control necessitate the changing the format of the event.  Events may be delayed, shortened or in rare circumstances, canceled due to inclement weather.  This includes lightning, wind, heat, snow, or the threat of imminent severe weather that may harm or injure participants, volunteers and spectators.

  • Rain: We hold our runs rain or shine.  The event will NOT be canceled due to rain alone.
  • Lightning: The event will be postponed by 30 minutes, up to one hour.  If the lightning continues, then the run will be canceled.
  • Tornado Warning or Severe Weather: The run will be canceled in the event of a tornado warning or other forms of severe weather.

We consider the entire event timeline in making these difficult decisions.  This includes setup, check-in and activities and run time.  All possible attempts will be made to contact those involved by email, website and social media either the day of the event or the evening before, depending on weather circumstances and event timeline.  No refunds or transfers allowed.

Refund Policy:

We are unable to process refunds in the event of cancellation due to weather, the COVID-19 health crisis, nonattendance, personal conflicts or any other circumstances. Due to the fundraising nature of this event and the planning and costs incurred, we do not reschedule for inclement weather or offer rain dates.

Who needs to register for the run?

What kind of safety protocols will you be following due to COVID-19?
